David DZAGNIDZE

 

Mr. David Dzagnidze was born 8.12.1967 in Tbilisi. In 1984-1988 he studied in Nikoladze College of Arts. In 1988-1993 he successfully graduated from Kutateladze State Academy of Arts Faculty of Monumental Painting and Plastics. In 1996-2006 he worked as Professor of Sulkhan Saba Orbeliani Pedagogical Institute. Since 2006 to present he has been working as Professor of Ilia State University; at present he conducts Monumental Composition Painting and Drawing lectures on Fine and Applied Arts. From 2009 till 2013 he had been curator of diploma theses. Since 1996 his oeuvres have been represented in Georgian and international exhibitions catalogs and albums. In 1998-2013 he worked as Painter of Georgian Simon Janashia History National Museum Old Tbilisi Archeological Expedition. In 2005-2013 he participated in architectural projects as Monumental Painter and Designer. In 2000-2007 he arranged charity action exhibitions together with publishing house Diogenes and Tbilisi History Museum Karvasla. From 1998 till 2004 he worked as Painter and Designer in Bazo Ltd and Palitra Ltd.

 

In 2008 he participated in GSRT Torture Victims and Psychosocial Centre Project as Enamel Teacher in Avchala Correction Establishment for Minor Offenders.

 

Since 1987 he has been actively participating in Georgian and international exhibitions. Mr. David Dzagnidze’s oeuvres are available in Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Czech, German, French, Italian, American and other private collections.
